About fuwa

fuwa (pronounced foo-wa) is a small stationery brand from Himeji, Japan. We take traditional Japanese patterns, each carrying a wish for health, good fortune or lasting bonds, and turn them into stationery for everyday life: notebooks to carry, pen cases to use, and gifts to give.

Our first collection is washi paper, hand-dyed one screen at a time in Kyoto, made into notebooks, pen cases, planner binders and letter boxes by partner workshops in Japan.
